I am so grateful to Google, I learn a lot of great things through their doodle. Today would have been Alice Paul's 131st Birthday. I am glad to finally learn more about her. Her vision was the ordinary notion that women and men should be equal partners in society.
Nice dream . . . We are still working on it.
Alice Paul Institute published:
"The birthday wish that Alice Paul would want most is for all of us to remember that we STILL do not have gender equality guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
"Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied by the United States of by any State on account of sex." Contact your Congressional representative today and urge her/him to work for passage of the Equal Rights Amendment."
Thank You, Alice.
love & love,
